Fitbit is working on 4G enabled smartwatch for kids, expected to be launched in 2020: reports

According to the recent reports, Fitbit is working on a new 4G enabled smartwatch for the kids, which are expected to be released in 2020. Over a month back Fitbit announced the Charge 4 with built-in GPS and mobile payments, now as per the reports company is developing smartwatch for the kids.

After announcing Charge 4 with GPS support, Fitbit is coming up with the 4G enabled smartwatch for the kids in 2020, which is good news for the kids. This may come with the some of the child tracking features as it will have in-built GPS tracker.

According to Engadget report the "Fitbit will launch a kids smartwatch with 4G connectivity later this year." This product is child-focused and this product will complement with the company's existing products like Ace fitness trackers, with the Ace 2.

The new smartwatch for kids is expected to come with a protective rubber case and in several colors, which will attract more people.

Long before the Google deal, Fitbit acquired Doki Technologies, the Hong Kong startup well known for developing a handful of kid-friendly wearables that feature video/voice calling and GPS over 4G LTE. With this acquisition Fitbit acquired the technologies for developing high quality products for the kids. Doki Technologies were well known for developing the products like IP68 with features of water resistance, fitness tracking, scheduling tools, and even an assistant. These products are really good and were developed using the latest technologies.

There are no further comments from both companies on the transactions, while Doki is shutting down its communication and other connected services on July 1.

According to the reports, Fitbit is continuing with the development of their existing products. The company continued their plan to provide the Charge 4 and its Spotify integration. Now, after Google acquisition Fitbit products and its development is controlled by Google. Google is expecting more products with the latest technologies in coming time.

Apple is also expected to bring their watchOS 7 in Kids Mode which can be connected with the parent's iPhone. The apps can also be restricted in the school hours. This may also come with the Kinds friendly features.

Fitbit is also expected to feature many features it is upcoming smartwatch for kids which is expected to be released this year.
